Tallaala Deem (Healthcare Across the Sand)
This is Nomad Health Initiative’s flagship program built on the premise that healthcare should be within reach for everyone, anywhere.
Tallaala Deem targets nomadic infants and mothers furthest left behind — those most vulnerable to preventable illnesses, death, and long-term disability due to vaccine inequity and limited access to health facilities. The program’s network of equipped frontline health workers and mobile clinics deliver life-saving maternal and child care support, including immunizations, prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition services, and basic diagnostics. Tallaala Deem works with a growing network of public health facilities and traditional male leaders. Through this model, we ensure that no child is left unprotected and that every mother has the care she needs — no matter how far she roams.
